5 Faces of Blue Ridge

5 Faces of Blue Ridge

When you think of a North Georgia Mountain town it makes sense that Blue Ridge is the first place to pop in your head. Afterall, with a bustling downtown area filled with delightful shops, fantastic food, popular train, and gorgeous scenery, why would you think of anything else?
We, at Nathan Fitts & Team, love Blue Ridge and everything about this town, but there’s really more to our beautiful community hidden just outside this well-known city. There are five distinct areas that are in close proximity to town, but world’s away at the same time. Let’s take a look at the five outside cities that are a part of Blue Ridge.
Cherry Log

As you approach Blue Ridge from the Atlanta area, you’ll pass right through Cherry Log. Between the towns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge, Cherry Log seems pretty non-descript. However, when you venture off of Hwy 76 and explore the properties dotted along the Blue Ridge Mountains and close to fishing on Rock Creek and hiking to the Fall Branch Falls waterfall, you will understand why this area is worth an extra look.

Epworth

Nestled in the Chattahoochee National Forest, just North of downtown Blue Ridge and close to the Tennessee line, Epworth Georgia sits at an elevation of 1,706 feet which makes for homes with spectacular views! Another benefit to this area is the rushing sounds of Fightingtown Creek meandering through this part of the North Georgia Mountains. Interestingly enough,  if you drive just 10 minutes down Hwy 5, you can eat at Fightingtown Tavern in downtown Blue Ridge!

McCaysville

Recently revitalized, along with its twin city in Copperhill, Tennessee, McCaysville is an up-and-coming community. Not only does the state line divide this little town in half, but the Toccoa River also flows right through the center of town, transitioning to the Ocoee as it crosses into Tennessee. Here you can still find great deals on properties and have the convenience town if you desire or the tranquility of the mountain life that you’ve been longing for.

Mineral Bluff

On the Northeast side of Blue Ridge, you’ll find the community of Mineral Bluff on Hwy 60. While the town may be non-descript, the views are absolutely divine! Owning property in Mineral Bluff allows you the opportunity to embrace the mountain lifestyle. Nature is abundant here, but if you prefer to purchase your veggies instead of grow them, you are just a quick 10 minutes from the center of town!

Morganton

The Morganton area is the best kept secret in Blue Ridge! This little community features the best of the best of both mountain and lake living. Morganton is located on the banks of beautiful Lake Blue Ridge on the east side of Downtown. Here you can enjoy lake recreation opportunities at Morganton Point or own a fabulous piece of property with a stunning mountain and lake backdrop!
Meta Description: Blue Ridge is more than just the bustling downtown area. In fact, there are five unincorporated regions of blue ridge that provide outstanding mountain views!
FB Description: We love Blue Ridge and everything about this town, but there’s really more to our beautiful community hidden just outside the downtown area. Explore the 5 faces of Blue Ridge: Cherry Log, Epworth, McCaysville, Mineral Bluff & Morganton!
